Infants

6 Weeks - 12 Months & Walking

Infants are the ‘Seeds’ of our ‘Growing Children Socially and Academically’ program here at Honey Tree and Branches Academy. This is the time in a child’s life when the earliest social, emotional, and developmental foundations begin to be planted and nurtured. We provide a loving, nurturing, and stimulating environment to help those first seedlings grow strong. Our proprietary Infant Program is designed to support each child’s individual growth through caring interactions, sensory exploration, language-rich experiences, music, movement, and guided play. We focus on building trust, comfort, and early developmental skills while encouraging curiosity and discovery. Books, songs, tummy time, sensory materials, and hands-on experiences are an essential part of our Infant Program. We provide more than simple care for your child. We provide the most nurturing and enriching learning environment possible to help your child flourish during this vital stage of life.

At the heart of our infant program is a commitment to providing loving, individualized care for every child. Our teachers work to build strong, trusting relationships with each infant by responding to their needs with warmth, patience, and affection. Through cuddles, comforting words, rocking, singing, and one-on-one interactions, we create a secure environment where infants feel safe, valued, and loved.

Feeding times are treated as special opportunities for connection and growth. Teachers carefully follow each infant's individual feeding schedule and preferences, whether bottle-feeding, breast milk feeding, or introducing age-appropriate solid foods. During feedings, infants receive attentive care and encouragement as they develop self-feeding skills and healthy eating habits. By partnering closely with families, we ensure that each infant's nutritional needs are met while providing the comfort and consistency they need to thrive.

Loving Care

Providing a clean, safe, and nurturing environment is an essential part of our infant program. Each infant has an individual crib that meets all safe sleep guidelines and provides a comfortable space for rest throughout the day. Diaper changes are completed regularly and as needed on our dedicated diaper changing table, with careful attention to cleanliness, safety, and each child's comfort.

To help maintain a healthy classroom environment, staff follow strict sanitation procedures. The diaper changing area is cleaned and disinfected after each use using approved disinfecting products, including Purell wipes. Soiled materials and toys are properly placed in our designated "Yucky Bucket" to await sanitation to help prevent the spread of germs and keep the classroom sanitary. Through consistent cleaning practices and attentive care, we strive to provide a healthy, secure environment where infants can learn, grow, and thrive.

Exploration & Enriching Interaction

Our infants enjoy daily learning experiences designed to support their growth and development through exploration, play, and nurturing interactions. Throughout the day, they are introduced to age-appropriate picture books, songs, fingerplays, sensory activities, and tummy-time experiences that encourage language development, cognitive growth, and motor skills. Infants explore a variety of textures, colors, sounds, and objects while building early social connections and discovering the world around them in a safe, loving environment. Our activities are thoughtfully planned to support each child's individual developmental milestones and natural curiosity.
